Red Hook Democrats seeking Highway Superintendent candidate

The Red Hook Democrats would like to hear from Red Hook & Tivoli residents interested in running in 2019 for the elected position of Town of Red Hook Highway Superintendent. Candidates need not be registered Democrats.

The highway superintendent is the person responsible for planning, directing and supervising the activities and operation of the Town of Red Hook Highway Department, which includes the construction, improvement, repair, care and maintenance of town roads, bridges, sidewalks, walkways, parks and culverts for drainage within the town. The superintendent has the responsibility for keeping within the budget and hiring, supervising, and discharging all employees of the department. They are responsible for supervising the work of highway crew(s) and responding to resident concerns about potholes, paving, working with the town board, etc.

COMPENSATION: $65,072/yr + health insurance + pension + town vehicle
